Wikipedia provides and excellent description of JQuery,

"jQuery is a lightweight cross-browser JavaScript library designed to simplify the client-side scripting of HTML.[1] It was released in January 2006 at BarCamp NYC by John Resig. Used by over 27% of the 10,000 most visited websites, jQuery is the most popular JavaScript library in use today.[2]"

jCarousel

jCarousel is a jQuery plugin for controlling a list of images in horizontal or vertical order. The items, which can be static HTML content or loaded with (or without) AJAX, can be scrolled back and forth (with or without animation).

The following demonstration has been created from the excellent information available on the JCarousel website. The configuration shown here includes two options made possible by the JCarousel Configuration selection.

• Vertical alignment (The default is horizontal)
• Scroll one image per click (The default is 3)
